Zinnia

Why

This was one of the seeds in the wildflower seed mix.

Where

Unfortunately Zinnias are not native to my area, although apparently they don't grow aggressively so they aren't much ofa concern. They occur in the southwestern united states, mexico, and central america. This implies that I need to find a better seed mix next time since neither of the flowers that grew are native.

What

Like Cosmos, Zinnia is ued to refer to a whole genus of flowering plants. Zinnias come in a wide variety of colors but mine happens to be purple.
